12 agreements were signed between Algeria and Türkiye

President Erdoğan organized an official visit to Algeria. During the official visit, 12 separate agreements in various fields were signed between Türkiye and Algeria.

After the one-on-one meeting at the Algerian Presidential Palace, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Algerian President Abdülmecid Tebbun chaired the Second Meeting of the Turkey-Algeria High Level Cooperation Council. After the meeting, the signing ceremony of the agreements between the two countries took place in the presence of President Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebbun.

SIGNED AGREEMENTS

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf, “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Protocol between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria”, “Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and Algeria signed the “Cooperation Protocol in the Field of Higher Education Scholarships between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Democratic People’s Republic” and the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkish National Library of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and the Algerian National Library of the Ministry of Culture and Arts of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria”.

Fidan and Attaf also signed the “Agreement on Cinematographic Co-Production between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria” and the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Environment between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria”.

Minister of Commerce Ömer Bolat and Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni signed the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria on Cooperation in the Fields of Consumer Protection, Market Surveillance and Control and Quality Control of Products and Services” and “With the Government of the Republic of Turkey He signed the “Joint Ministerial Declaration on the Intention to Sign a Preferential Trade Agreement between the Governments of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria”.

“Sister Hospital Agreement Between Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital of the Republic of Turkey and the ‘Serious Burns’ Specialized Hospital Institution in Zeralda, Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria” was signed by Deputy Minister of Health Tolga Tolunay and Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Health Mohamed Talhi.

Uğur Ünal, Head of the Presidential State Archives, and Sami Athmani-Merabout, Deputy Director General of Algeria Archives, signed the “Cooperation Protocol between the Presidency of the Presidential State Archives of the Republic of Turkey and the General Directorate of National Archives of the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria”.

“Commercial Agreement Between BOTAŞ and Sonatrach within the Scope of Natural Gas Purchase and Sale Agreement dated April 14, 1988” was signed by BOTAŞ Chairman and General Manager Abdulvahit Fidan and Sonatrach Chairman and General Manager Rachid Hachichi.

Turkish Space Agency President Yusuf Kıraç and Algerian Space Agency President Azzeddine Oussedik signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation Between the Turkish Space Agency and the Algerian Space Agency in the Field of Peaceful Use of Space, Space Sciences, Technologies and Applications”.

Following the signing of the agreements, President Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebbun also signed the “Joint Declaration of the Second Meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council between the Republic of Turkey and the Democratic People’s Republic of Algeria”.
