Referring to the activities of 296 exporters in East Azarbaijan, Azamai said: There are 82 exporters with exports of more than one million dollars in the province.

He said: “Export is always the driving force of other production sectors. We hope that by adopting logical procedures, we will see an improvement in the export ranking.”

Azmaei continued: In the first seven months of this year, the export amount of the province was 824 million dollars, which has increased by 1% compared to the same period last year.

The General Director of Industry, Mining and Trade of East Azerbaijan added: Turkey, Iraq, Armenia, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russian Federation, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan have been the main export destinations of East Azerbaijan.

He emphasized: The businessmen of the province have paid special attention to the Russian markets this year, so that the export of the province to Russia has increased by 243.6% compared to the same period last year.

He continued: Considering the consumerism of the Russian market, especially in the field of food, by using new marketing tools and issues such as product packaging according to the taste of the target countries, we hope that, along with appropriate policies, we will be able to create the necessary platforms to increase the amount of exports to these markets. to have

He added: hot-rolled iron or steel rods with teeth, petroleum bitumen, other expandable polystyrene in basic forms except fire-resistant, ordinary non-expandable polystyrene and refined copper are among the main export goods of the province.

The General Director of Industry, Mining and Trade of East Azerbaijan stated that in the first seven months of this year, the import of non-oil goods to the province was 876 million dollars and said: The import of non-oil goods to the province has increased by 25%.

Referring to the six thousand items of import order review, he added: Petrochemical and oil base products, industry, agriculture and mining industries were among the major sectors imported to the province.

He continued: Most of the products imported to the province were from Turkey, United Arab Emirates, China, Germany, South Korea, Italy, Austria, Russian Federation and Brazil.

Stating that seven meetings have been held for the business tables of countries such as Iraq, Turkey, Syria and Kazakhstan, Azmaei said: six cases of sending and receiving business delegations have been done in the province, which has an effective role in the development of exports.

He added: In the first seven months of this year, four meetings of the non-oil export development working group with 15 resolutions and five meetings of the commercial cards monitoring committee and the foreign exchange action committee with 21 resolutions have been held in the province.
