A long day – pre-premiere screening of Alan Badoev’s documentary took place in Kyiv — UNIAN

A closed pre-premiere screening of the documentary about the war directed by Alan Badoev and “1+1 Ukraine” “Long Day” took place in Kyiv, which was assembled from almost 200 hours of video material.

According to the correspondent of UNIAN, the military, representatives of the diplomatic corps, law enforcement agencies and officials took part in the presentation.

In addition to Badoev himself, singer Max Barskykh, who is the author of the commercial soundtrack for the film, acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Rostyslav Karandeev, as well as Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pyvnenko, were present.

The film was developed for 1.5 years and was collected from almost 200 hours of video footage from the phones of Ukrainians from different cities of the country. More than 12,000 people joined the work on the tape in this way. Ukrainians

In a comment to UNIAN, Badoev noted that at first the film’s chronometer was 10 hours, and later it was reduced to two.

“We edited and assembled the entire film for almost 1.5 years. It was very difficult: you choose not only which fate to show the viewer, but which one not. And so that the entire history of this film gave some kind of general opinion about , what we want to say,” he explained.

The director added that he wanted all the heroes of the film to be able to share with the world how you can be strong when you lose everything. Badoev emphasized that the entire film was made from materials from the phones of Ukrainians.

“Phones came to us in boxes from occupied places, from Bucha. From where, we didn’t even know if this person lived or not. And then we understood from the files that the person lived, they were looking for this person,” he said.

The director added that some people themselves sent their videos for the tape. The film also uses video footage from the military, directly from the front.

The film was screened with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the State Agency of Ukraine on Cinema issues together with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

Before the start of the show, it was noticed that it was taking place on a symbolic date – November 21, the Day of Dignity and Freedom. It is assumed that later the tape will be shown to a wide audience. We are talking about a television show on “1+1 Ukraine”.

In addition, applications were submitted for the participation of this film in several festivals in different countries.

Ukraine today defends the main democratic values ​​of the free world, and Ukrainians have become an example of courage and invincibility. That is why, with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the State Agency of Ukraine for Film Affairs, together with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, the premiere screening of the film “The Long Day” took place.

This film was created by Alan Badoev and the “1+1 Ukraine” channel. It was developed for 1.5 years and was collected from almost 200 hours of video material. And more than 12 thousand Ukrainians joined the work on this tape, which turns it into a war document created by Ukrainians themselves.

The screening of the tape took place on a symbolic date – November 21, the Day of Dignity and Freedom, a memorable day in honor of the beginning of two Ukrainian revolutions. It was on this day that Ukrainians once and for all chose the path of freedom and independence for themselves – protest actions broke out on the country’s main square. This date symbolizes the establishment of democracy, honors the patriotism and courage of citizens who stood up to defend the values ​​of the state.

The film was presented at a closed screening. It was attended by the first persons of the state and the international press.
