After escaping the coma, a girl who was knocked down with her mother and grandmother in La Minita is discharged

This Tuesday, the two-year-old girl who was run over last week along with her mother and grandmother on a corner in the La Minita neighborhood was discharged after responding appropriately to medical intervention.

The incident occurred during the morning of last Monday and resulted in the tragic loss of life of the adult mother and daughter, who were with the girl at the time of the accident. A 25-year-old young man, identified as Bryan, is being prosecuted by judicial authorities in relation to the event.

The evidence of the accident, obtained from a security camera, reveals that Bryan, at the wheel of his truck, entered the scene at a considerable speed at the Pedro Ampudia intersection, where he collided, causing the vehicle to head towards the scene on where women walked.

Upon the arrival of the emergency services, the two adult women were declared without vital signs, while the girl, Perla’s daughter, was transferred to the Maternal and Child Hospital with serious injuries.

The girl, who turned two years old the day after the incident, was declared in a coma during the first medical intervention. A week later, the Management of the Maternal and Child Hospital reported that the minor has been discharged and is with her family, having responded satisfactorily to the treatment.

The same day that the girl was discharged, the hearing began to link the process against Bryan for the crime of culpable homicide. Aggravating factors related to drunk driving and lack of safety measures were added to this charge.

It will be at the end of this hearing when the status in which the criminal procedure will continue is announced, or if it concludes through an alternative exit.
