Belarus received a new batch of Mi-35M helicopters from the Russian Federation


Four more Mi-35M transport and combat helicopters have been delivered to Belarus, and the vehicles will soon go on combat duty, the press service of the Republic’s Ministry of Defense reports.

“Another batch of four Mi-35M helicopters has arrived at one of the airfields of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces,” says a message on the Telegram channel of the defense department.

It is noted that the combat vehicles were piloted by Belarusian pilots who were trained at the training center of the Russian Armed Forces.

“The introduction of the latest helicopters into service is a landmark event not only for the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, but also for the Armed Forces as a whole,” said Colonel Leonid Davidovich, Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces – Chief of Aviation.

According to him, soon the helicopters “will go on combat duty and fully participate in other combat training activities.”

It is noted that the first batch of helicopters was delivered to Belarus in August 2023.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that the country’s military would undergo instructor training courses in Russia. At the same time, the main emphasis in training will be on the experience gained by the RF Armed Forces during the special operation.

Let us recall that on March 28, 2023, an agreement was concluded in Minsk on combat training centers for joint training of military personnel. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on its ratification in early July 2023, Russian leader Vladimir Putin – in early December.
