Benefits of schemes will be ensured for the people under Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra


Hoshiarpur/Indrajit Warikya: In order to ensure that the benefits of central schemes reach 100 per cent of the people, the Central Government has started the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, so that the standard of living of the needy people at the grassroots level can be further improved. This view was expressed by Ashok Srivastava, Director and senior official of the Ministry of Energy of the Central Government, during a meeting with officials of partner departments in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal in the District Administrative Complex today.
Ashok Srivastava said that this campaign has been launched by the Central Government from November 15, 2023 to reach the beneficiaries of the major schemes and programs of the Center in rural and urban areas, which will end on January 25, 2024. He said that this Sankalp Yatra will be organized from 26 November 2023 to 15 January 2024 for the rural areas of Hoshiarpur district. Similarly, in the urban areas of the district, this yatra will run from 21 December 2023 to 27 December 2023. He said that he will monitor this campaign as the nodal officer of the Government of India. He said that cultural programs will also be organized in these camps to reach out to more people. He said that the beneficiaries who have not been covered till now will be guided, so that the benefits of the schemes which have not reached them can be extended to them. He said that on this occasion, under Meri Kahani, Meri Zubani, suggestions and success stories of the beneficiaries will also be shared through videos so that every neglected person can be motivated and benefited from the schemes.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that for the success of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a district level committee has been formed and nodal officers of the schemes have been appointed.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Balraj Singh, S. D.M Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains, S. DM Tanda Gagandeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner Vyom Bhardwaj, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sachin Pathak, District Development and Panchayat Officer Bhupinder Singh Multani, Civil Surgeon Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana, Field Publicity Officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Rajesh Bali and other officials from various departments.
