Cemetery hyenas roam all over Poland. The terror of All Saints’ Day

On November 1, Poles will go to visit the graves of their loved ones in droves, but preparations for the holiday start even earlier. Unfortunately, freshly decorated graves are an opportunity for “cemetery hyenas” who are just waiting to steal expensive decorations.

Cemetery thieves hunt for loot all over Poland. There are frequent thefts in small towns and large cities. In Wroclaw, according to Radio Wrocław, the situation at the Osobowice Cemetery is particularly disturbing. Residents whose loved ones are buried there they face the disappearance of almost everything — from expensive decorations to candle inserts.
