Deputy Manpower Representative: The reconciliation law requires that garages used in commercial activities be restored to their original condition

He pointed out during television statements to the “Under the Sun” program with journalist Ahmed Salem, broadcast on “Al-Shams” satellite channel on Tuesday evening, that the new law provides many facilitations to citizens by facilitating reconciliation procedures for some violations for which reconciliation was previously prohibited, such as trespassing by building on state-owned lands. Regulation lines, change of use, and exceeding height restrictions, according to a set of specific mechanisms and requirements.

He added that the law prohibits reconciliation for three violations, namely violating structural safety, as well as encroachments on antiquities lands and the Nile River, the latest of which is the prohibition of reconciliation on changing the use of garages.

He noted that the last clause regarding changing the use of garages would take many cases out of the scope of reconciliation, saying: “The citizen who bought a garage and changed its use to a commercial store is required to return it again to its original status as a garage.”
