Fire in 18th floor apartment building in Ho Chi Minh City, people fled in panic


TPO – A fire broke out from an apartment on the 18th floor of an apartment building in District 12 (HCMC), causing many people to panic and evacuate to the ground to ensure safety.

On the afternoon of January 11, District 12 Police (Ho Chi Minh City) is coordinating with relevant units to investigate the cause of an apartment fire that occurred in the area.

Initial information, around 4:30 p.m. on the same day, the apartment on the 18th floor of the apartment building located on Highway 1 (Thoi An ward, District 12) suddenly had a fire.

Detecting a fire, people living in the apartment building panicked and moved to the ground to ensure safety. On-site firefighting forces promptly used fire extinguishers and pulled water hoses to put out the fire.

Receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 12 Police quickly mobilized vehicles and soldiers present to coordinate to control the fire immediately afterward.

Talking to reporters, the leader of Thoi An Ward People’s Committee said that at the time of the fire, the apartment owner was away, there was no human damage and the residents returned to the apartment to live normally.

The cause is being investigated and clarified by the police.
