Gibran Answers the Question of Law Enforcement in the Jokowi Era

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SOLO — Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming is reluctant to comment on law enforcement in the era of President Joko Widodo. According to Gibran, if he is the one judging then the answer could be biased.

“I No have the right to judge, it will be biased,” said Gibran, Tuesday (21/11/2023).

President Jokowi’s eldest son submitted this assessment to the public regarding law enforcement in the Jokowi era. “Let the citizens judge yes,” said the vice presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto.

Previously, PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo gave a score of 5 out of a maximum score of 10 for the Jokowi era government in terms of law enforcement, human rights, eradicating corruption and democracy. Ganjar believes that law enforcement has declined in the era of President Jokowi’s leadership.

According to Ganjar, one of the factors that makes law enforcement in Indonesia worse is the number of engineering and legal interventions carried out by policy makers.

“Engineering and intervention is what makes the intervention disappear, impartial becomes partial,” he said when he was a speaker at the Makassar State University (UNM) IKA event in Makassar City, Saturday (18/11/2023).

Ganjar admitted that he had previously given high marks to law enforcement in the Jokowi era. According to him, this high assessment arose because there had not been any cases that had arisen in recent times.

“Yesterday’s case right “I stripped everything naked and we were shown the matter, with this case being a failure, five points (from 1-10),” said Ganjar without clearly revealing what case he was referring to.

During a meeting with the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Ganjar also explained his assessment of the condition of law enforcement in Indonesia.

“Regarding the assessment, because many voices from the public came to us and everyone spoke. About legal certainty, about law enforcement, about how the law must really be straight,” said Ganjar at JK’s residence, Jakarta, Sunday (19/11/2023 ).

On the other hand, Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani, said that presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo had data on law enforcement during the Jokowi administration era which was given a score of 5.
