Bad news has come for the farmers of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of unseasonal rain in the state amid cold. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in South Gujarat and Saurashtra along with the possibility of rain in some parts of the state. The state may face unseasonal rains due to active cyclonic circulation and trough along with moisture from easterly winds.

Ahmedabad Meteorological Center Director Manorama Mohanty has predicted unseasonal rain in the state. There is a possibility of unseasonal rain in the state between 24 and 28 November, which may cause huge damage to the crops of farmers. There is also a possibility of heavy rain on 25th and 26th November. According to Mohanty, there is a possibility of unseasonal rain over the state due to cyclonic circulation and trough activation along with moisture from easterly winds.

According to Mohanty, the worst effect of rain can be seen in South Gujarat and Saurashtra, while there is a possibility of unseasonal rain in some parts of the state. He also said that the intensity of rain will reduce from November 27. During this period, cold weather will start from 25th.

Meanwhile, due to unseasonal rains, farmers’ crops may also suffer huge losses. With the onset of winter, preparations for Rabi crop begin, in which farmers cultivate crops like peas, gram, mustard, wheat, potato and there is a possibility of damage to these crops due to unseasonal rains.
