Hazem Omar: I read the scene of escalation before the Al-Aqsa Flood operation… and the war will stop within two weeks

Presidential candidate Hazem Omar said that before the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th, he had a reading of the escalatory scene in the Palestinian territories.

He added during his special interview on the “On My Responsibility” program, presented by the journalist Ahmed Musa, and broadcast on the “Sada El Balad” channel, on Monday evening, that the occupying state was seeking escalation, but the Palestinian reaction that occurred was greater than the Israeli government’s expectations, and thus ignited… position, stressing that the current situation in the Palestinian territories is indeed dangerous.

He pointed out that he met with officials from the United States and others, and the focus of their talk was about the post-war phase, but he refused to talk about this matter before stopping the war in Gaza, commenting: “The talk now is stopping the war, and the Gaza war will stop within two weeks and it is not a truce, and this is information. But there will still be security and qualitative operations.”

He pointed out that there is a danger regarding the expansion of the scope of these confrontations, because it is not in the region’s interest to expand the conflict, stressing that Washington sent aircraft carriers to Israel because it is not prepared for a burning Middle East, in addition to the fact that the United States knows that the Israeli government needs to restrain it. Because it has been trying to clash with Iran for two years.

He stated that Israel primarily fulfills the interests of the United States in the region, and it is its spoiled child, and thus the prestige of the American army and its deterrent power was shaken by a few simple weapons of the resistance, stressing that this is what stands behind the unconditional, but not open, American support.
