According to her, the employee of the institution most likely became infected through contact and household contact. The school was closed for quarantine, anti-epidemic measures are being carried out there.
84 people who came in contact with the patient fell into the risk group.
“The children will be under the supervision of doctors for 35 days from the moment the case of the disease is detected. Appropriate laboratory biochemical analyzes will be conducted,” Levchenko said.
To protect against the hepatitis A virus in household conditions, it is necessary to monitor the quality of drinking water, wash hands thoroughly, and handle food products.
Ukrainians can also be vaccinated, but it is not mandatory, said the Deputy Minister of Health, the country’s chief state health physician Igor Kuzyn.
