KPK Examines Acting Governor of NTB

JAKARTA, BALIPOST.com – Acting (Pj) Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Lalu Gita Ariandi will be examined as a witness by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the alleged corruption case for the suspect Mayor of Bima for the 2018 – 2023 period Muhammad Lutfi (MLI).

“Today at the KPK’s Red and White Building, the investigative team scheduled the summons and examination of witness Lalu Gita Ariandi as Acting. “Governor of West Nusa Tenggara,” said Head of the KPK News Department, Ali Fikri, when confirmed in Jakarta, quoted from the Antara news agency, Monday (20/11).

Apart from the Acting Governor of NTB, KPK investigators also scheduled an examination of the Compliance Department Staff of PT Binavalasindo Dolarsia Sejahtera Utama Nugraha Ronaldo Sabang Simomaringkir and private party Muhammad Makdis.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (5/10) officially detained the Mayor of Bima for the 2018-2023 period Muhammad Lutfi (MLI) after he was named a suspect in a case of alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU). The case started around 2019, when Lutfi together with one of his immediate family members began planning projects that would be carried out by the Bima City Government.

Taking advantage of his position, Lutfi then ordered several officials at the PUPR Service and BPBD of the Bima City Government to create various projects that had large budget values ​​and the preparation of them was carried out at the official residence of the Mayor of Bima.

Unilaterally directly determines the contractors who will win in the auction for the projects in question. The auction process was carried out only as a formality and in fact the auction winners did not meet the qualifying requirements as stipulated in the provisions.
