Lázaro is slowly recovering and they are waiting for a key witness

They are long hours for the family of Lázaro (13), the teenager who spent more than a week in the intensive care unit of the Children’s Hospital. On Sunday the 12th, a gang carried out an attack against him and two of his friends in Plaza Jerónimo del Barco, Alto Alberdi neighborhood, in the city of Córdoba.

Among the group of about 20 attackers, there was one who crouched down, picked up a loose piece of the sidewalk curb, and threw it at the victim. He hit her in the head, causing an injury to the right parietal muscle.

The prosecutor in the case, Norma Scaglia, today completed a series of procedures to move forward with the clarification of the facts. She seeks to know if there was anyone over the age of 16 involved in this episode of urban violence.

So far he hasn’t found anyone. If he does not do so, he must withdraw from the cause. She takes care of the affairs of boys who are between 16 and 17 years old.

However, the prosecution has not yet ruled out a finding like this. In fact, a witness who is considered “very relevant” is expected to testify between Wednesday and Thursday, according to sources close to the investigation.

In parallel, Scaglia will be temporarily replaced by juvenile criminal prosecutor Gustavo García. Next Monday, the prosecutor will take back the reins of the case.

Before retiring, Scaglia admitted Lázaro’s family, represented by lawyer Carlos Nayi, as private plaintiffs. The notification will reach the aforementioned lawyer and all the parties involved this Wednesday.

On the other side, the prosecutor’s office has already identified four alleged aggressors. Three of them ferociously beat A., a friend of Lázaro, who suffered minor injuries.

The last one was notified of the criminal attribution last Friday. All three are charged with “minor injuries.”

They are all 14 years old, unlike the teenager who is under the guardianship of Justice in the Esperanza Complex, in the town of Bouwer.

This fourth boy – who initially said he was 14 years old, but was later confirmed to be 15 – is accused of attempted murder.

They all appointed defense attorneys.

The prosecution, meanwhile, continues with the raids and new attributions to alleged aggressors are not ruled out.

A large amount of images taken by police domes are also classified. Added to this are the testimonies that were already collected by Scaglia, coming from some teenagers who approached the prosecutor’s office accompanied by their parents.

Social networks were an important resource for the investigation. The investigators dedicated a good part of their time to exploring the virtual relationships that are established in the multiple profiles of each of the alleged parties involved.

Through this search, the prosecution managed to find comments and clues that were related to the fight that took place on the night of November 12.

It is expected that between the end of this week and the beginning of the next, the informative presentation (correlated to a statement by an accused in the case of people over 18 years of age) can be taken to the teenager who is under the guardianship of Justice.

Lázaro’s health: he has no eye injuries

While the investigation progresses, Lázaro’s family remains firm at the guard door of the Santísima Trinidad Children’s Hospital, located in the central area of ​​the city of Córdoba.

The doctors informed Javier Rivarola, Lázaro’s father, that the child has no eye injuries.

According to the most recent studies, the patient responds to light reflections.

“Neurologically, his vision is not affected. What he has in his eye is as if it were a bruise anywhere else on the body. “She woke up, from what the nurse told me,” the parent said hopefully.

According to the information provided to the family, the teenager woke up and opened one of his eyes while the nurses in his care spoke to him.
