Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus: a citizen of the republic was seriously wounded in a terrorist attack in Israel


A citizen of Belarus was among the victims of the terrorist attack in Israel; he was seriously injured, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

“As a result of the terrorist attack on October 1, 2024 in Jaffa (Israel), a Belarusian citizen born in 1997 was seriously wounded,” the department reported in Belarus Today.

The ministry said that the embassy is in contact with the local competent authorities and the medical facility where the victim was taken. It is noted that doctors’ forecasts regarding his condition are positive.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry emphasized that due to the aggravation of the situation, the department’s recommendation to refrain from traveling to some countries in the Middle East, primarily Israel and Lebanon, remains relevant.

Let us recall that on the evening of October 1, two terrorists began shooting at people with automatic rifles in a tram car in the Jaffa area of ​​Tel Aviv. Then they got out of the vehicle on Jerusalem Avenue and began shooting passers-by. As a result of the incident, seven people were killed and 16 were injured of varying degrees of severity. The military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Al-Qassam, claimed responsibility for the attack.
