Record number of nominations for Paola Cortellesi at the David di Donatello
Breaking every box office record There’s still tomorrow by Paola Cortellesi also wins the David di Donatello. She obtained the highest number of nominations of this edition, 19. In second place, I am Captain by Matteo Garrone, with 15 nominations, followed by The Chimera by Alice Rohrwacher (13 nominations). Kidnapped by Marco Bellocchio (11 nominations), Commander by Edoardo De Angelis (10 nominations) e The Sun of the Future by Nanni Moretti (7 nominations).
The President and artistic director of the Academy of Italian Cinema – David di Donatello Awards, Piera Detassis, revealed the five at the press conference in the Rai headquarters in Viale Mazzini. The David di Donatello award ceremony will be broadcast on Friday 3 May, in prime time on Rai1, hosted by Carlo Conti.

The ranking of the most nominated films (21 films received nominations, of which 9 were directorial debuts) continues with Adagio and Palazzina Laf (both 5 nominations). Then, L’ultimo notte di amore (4 nominations), Disco Boy, Felicità, Mixed By Erry and Stranezza d’Amuri (all with 2 nominations).
Finally, another 8 films with one nomination each: One Hundred Sundays, Come Pecore tra i Lupi. And, again, Shark Teeth, The most beautiful century of my life, The last time we were children, The scarlet sails, Lubo and Misericordia.
