‘S.E.A. Writer’ raises the 4th precept to warn people who lie, causing them to lose trust in society.

“The Consequences of Lying”

If you lie to protect yourself or the comfort of others, I understand. and admitted that I had lied But with some people..I don’t understand why they have to lie. Even though it’s not necessary at all. The important thing is to lie over and over again until you can’t even remember what you said. Someone else must come out to defend, make excuses, correct information until there is chaos in society.

I think of the “reason” that the Buddha prescribed in the 4th precept, “Do not lie.” In addition to having reasons for practicing Dhamma, There is another important reason. If you lie often, you’ll get lost, meaning you won’t remember what you said. And if it happens often, it will become a habit. and drifts away from reality, confused thoughts, unable to distinguish between truth and lies Because the memories stored, both the truth and the lie, conflict with each other. “Lying” involves being careful that the next time you speak, it must be the same. But if someone is a talkative person Talking continuously about many stories, often unable to remember.
