Samir Faraj: Israel failed to eliminate Hamas after 45 days of war

Strategic expert Major General Dr. Samir Faraj said that Israel failed to eliminate Hamas after 45 days of war in Gaza.

He added, during a telephone conversation with the “Hazrat Al-Citizen” program, presented by journalist Sayed Ali, on the “Al-Hadath Al-Youm” screen, on Monday evening, that Israel has set a second goal, which is to liberate the detainees, which did not happen to even a single hostage.

He pointed out that the occupation army did not achieve any field control over the land, while it achieved a 10% incursion, not a seizure, of the land.

He noted that the incursion means extending on the ground for a certain distance and then returning again, stressing that the occupation army cannot bear urban warfare like any army in the world.

He recalled that Israel tried on October 24, 1973, to penetrate the city of Suez, but failed, and its tanks are still present in front of the Arbaeen neighborhood.

He pointed out that after 45 days of war on Gaza, Israel had achieved nothing except destroying the infrastructure in Gaza and killing a terrible number of citizens, especially children.

For 45 days, the occupation army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 13,000 martyrs, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, as well as more than 30,000 injured, 75 percent of whom are children and women, according to the government media office in Gaza. .
