Saudi Arabia rose 10 places to rank 14th on the 2024 Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index issued by Kearney.

In its 26th report, the company presented a valuable study to understand investors’ trends regarding foreign direct investment flows during the next three years.

This year’s results highlighted the effectiveness of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance its attractiveness as a distinguished investment destination for global investors, as well as demonstrating its new position on the emerging markets index, as it ranked third globally and second regionally in 2024, advancing from sixth in 2023.

The report also confirmed Saudi Arabia’s economic expansion, which is expected to record growth of about 5% during 2024, and its firm commitment to Vision 2030, especially with regard to economic diversification, and its contribution to revitalizing the services and industrial sectors.

In this regard, Noura Al-Ajaji, Director at the National Institute for Transformations (Kearney) Middle East, confirmed that the strong performance and remarkable rise achieved by Saudi Arabia on the Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index this year is evidence of its dynamic approach to promoting a favorable investment environment.

This year’s index shows continued optimism regarding foreign direct investment globally, with a particular focus on technology as a major sector of investment. Saudi Arabia’s focus on advanced technologies and innovation is in line with this trend, strengthening its position to attract large inflows of foreign direct investment, and reflecting its commitment to pioneering technological development and economic diversification.
