Sepahan’s appeal against the match against Ittihad was rejected

Sport three: Sepahan club announced that the Asian Football Confederation rejected the appeal request in the case of the match with Ittihad.

Sepahan Club announced in an important news that the appeal request in the case of the match with Ittihad was rejected and thus the result of 3-0 is confirmed.

The public relations of Sepahan club has informed in this regard: “This morning, the meeting of the AFC appeals committee was held in the form of a video conference to deal with the appeal of the Sepahan club regarding the decision of the AFC disciplinary committee for the Sepahan-Al-Etihad match.

After the events that happened during the canceled match between Foulad Mubarake Sepahan Iran and Al Ittihad Saudi Arabia, the legal team of Sepahan Club prepared its bills in two stages to submit to the AFC judiciary. In the first meeting of the AFC to deal with this case, which is known as the Hearing, the arguments of the parties were presented.

After that, the AFC Disciplinary Committee published its very heavy decision against Sepahan on November 11th, and after that Sepahan Club officially sent an appeal to the AFC Appeals Committee. Following that, today, during the meeting that was held to deal with this appeal, the legal bases raised in the issued decision were examined again.

The Italian lawyer and the legal team of Sepahan Club also presented their convincing evidence based on the facts of the case, international laws and most importantly, the procedures of judicial authorities regarding similar international cases.

Finally, in the final part of Sepahan’s statement, the club rejected the complaint filed by the AFC Appeals Committee: “Hours after this meeting, the AFC Appeals Committee sent an official letter and rejected Sepahan’s appeal regarding the decision of the Asian Football Confederation’s Disciplinary Committee.”

Of course, this statement ended as expected with the emphasis of Sepahan Club to pursue its rights in the Supreme Court of Sports (CAS) as follows: “It should be noted that Sepahan Steel Club, after receiving the GROUNDS, in the Supreme Court Sports (CAS) will pursue the realization of its rights in this field.
