Services and investments are above-political issues
Avolu gave information about the projects carried out in Alanya and Antalya at the consultation meeting titled “Problems of our Alanya and solution proposals” held in Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The lawyer said that the Alanya-Antalya Highway project was frequently on the agenda and that although it was put out to tender 5-6 times, no bid was made, but as a result of the developments they made, one of Turkey’s strong companies won the tender.
Avulu, stating that he recently received information from the company that they have started to build the site, said, “The company will start working in the coming weeks. We also learned that they have found the loan and after the processes regarding the loan are completed in Turkey, the Alanya-Antalya Highway will start working at full capacity in March at the latest. We think that the project will be completed in the shortest time.”
The lawyer, who stated that while the project was being carried out, they had to solve the traffic problem on the D400 road, said, “Services and investments are issues above politics. Alanya is our common love. In the works and services to be carried out regarding Alanya and Antalya, we do not look at this party or that party. We all need to cooperate. We will solve Alanya’s problems within this framework.”
8 BILLION LRA INVESTMENT
Avoulu, giving information that tunnel, poplar and bridge constructions continue all around the town, noted that they continue to solve other needs of Alanya. Avoulu, mentioning the bringing of natural gas to the town and the construction of the new government building, said, “We are making an investment of 8 billion liras in Alanya this year. We will increase this amount even more next year.”
Reminding that Alanya was also affected by the forest fire that broke out in Manavgat in recent years, the lawyer gave information that 108 houses built for the citizens in the damaged Bayır Neighborhood were about to be completed.
The lawyer said that Alanya attaches importance to education and that the number of schools built by philanthropists in the district shows this, and that many projects in the health sector continue at full speed.
Avolu stated that they are aware of the problems in tourism, which is the most important source of income for the province, and emphasized that they need to work harder to increase the quality of our tourism and ensure its sustainability.
Emphasizing that one of these works is the expansion of Alanya Gazipaşa Airport, the lawyer said, “The airport, Alanya-Antalya highway, and the arrangements on the current D400 road are important for tourism. The terminal capacity of Alanya-Gazipaşa Airport is being increased by 50 percent. A nice project is being made with new technologies, but in my opinion it is insufficient. We need to plan for 20, 30 years later.”
