Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said that the Egyptian state has a clear and firm position regarding supporting the Palestinian cause, preventing its liquidation, preserving the rights of the Palestinian people, and preventing their displacement.
He added during an interview with Extra News channel, broadcast today, Tuesday, that this position is expressed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on various occasions.
He pointed out that Egypt does not stop supporting the Palestinian cause in all possible ways, explaining that Egypt is demanding in international forums to stop the aggression, guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, prevent their forced displacement, and prohibit the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.
He pointed out that Egypt also provides aid on an ongoing basis through the Rafah crossing, explaining that the state has succeeded in delivering aid of all kinds, whether food or medicine, in addition to fuel aid, to the Gaza Strip.
He stressed that the Egyptian House of Representatives is in constant communication with its counterparts in Arab or Western countries, almost daily, regarding the situation on the Palestinian territories.
He referred to participating in the Arab Parliamentary Union meeting in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, where this meeting resulted in a unified Arab paper supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, preventing attacks on them, and ensuring the preservation of the Palestinian cause.
He also pointed out his participation in the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Angola, and he gave a speech in which he stressed Egypt’s support for the Palestinian cause, preventing its liquidation, and objecting to the forced displacement of Palestinians.
