The pressure removal campaign on many zero pressure routes including Pal RTO-Surat Dumas Road in Surat has cooled down after reaching Chowtabazar. The Municipal Corporation has announced to remove pressure from the zero pressure route and the work is also going on. However, today, even before the Municipal Corporation team reached the infamous Chauta market for pressure, after the news of the arrival of the pressure team was leaked, some pressure was removed from the Municipal Corporation’s side on the road. However, within half an hour of the pressure being relieved, Chauta market turned into a jungle of pressure.
Surat Municipal Corporation started the work of relieving pressure on the zero pressure route on a large scale. Municipal Corporation launched an aggressive campaign to remove pressure on many zero pressure routes including Surat Dumas Road and Pal RTO. This brought relief to the people of the area where there was pressure. But after the pressure relief campaign of the Municipal Corporation, the market got tired.
Before the municipal team could go to Chowta Bazaar to reduce the pressure, the news of the functioning of the municipal corporation got leaked. Due to which the pressure of lorry-carriers was removed from the road. Due to this, the Municipal Corporation team failed to remove the pressure and was satisfied only by removing a little pressure from the road. However, within half an hour of the Municipal Corporation’s team leaving Chowta Bazaar, the pressure was applied with more force than before and openly challenged the pressure relief campaign of the Municipal Corporation.
Some Municipal Corporation employees are promoting pressure on Chowtabazar, due to which the condition of the local people is worsening. Two-wheeler drivers are also facing problems as more than half of the road in Chowta Bazaar has been taken over by unruly elements.
