Traffic members gathered at Surat Ishwar Farm after the order of the Director General of Police to retire the members who have served more than 10, 5 and 3 years in the Traffic Brigade. Under the leadership of Congress Legal Cell President Advocate Zameer Shaikh, the Director General of Police was offered to withdraw this order otherwise it was prepared to file a PIL.

Giving information, President of Congress Legal Cell, Advocate Zameer Shaikh said that under the pressure of the government, on 18/11/2023, the Director General of Police and Chief Police Officer, Chief of Police Force, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar letter no. The letter S/TB/Traffic/1103/2023 states that out of approximately 9000 Traffic Brigade members, 1100 members have completed more than 10 years of their departure, 3000 members have completed 5 years of service in the Traffic Brigade. And 2300 members have completed 3 years in the traffic brigade and want to retire them.

There were no such rules at the time of their recruitment and it is completely unfair that you want to become a pawn of the government by using your power and relieve the traffic brigade personnel from duty. Therefore, in the interest of humanity, we request that the letter issued by the Director General of Police and the Chief Police Officer should be withdrawn. And if this letter is not withdrawn, then we will be forced to file a PIL in the High Court in the interest of justice and the entire responsibility for this will be on you as the government head as well as the administrative head.

Congress Legal Cell President Advocate Zameer Shaikh said that full duty is taken from unemployed youth. The technical name is given as an honorary service. According to labor law more than Rs 400 should be paid, but very little compensation is given. This is a classic example of misuse of labor laws. The services of TRB jawans cannot be terminated after more than 180 days of service. The government feels that people who have served in the TRB at one place for more than ten years may be corrupt.

This circular is completely against the law. TRB jawans are exploited by paying Rs 300. However, the young man served for ten years. The beneficiaries of the trust formed in the name of TRB soldiers are TRB members. But this trust has been created only to exploit TRB employees. Which is against the Constitution and we will take it to court.
