Representative Talaat Abdel Qawi, head of the General Union of Civil Associations and Institutions and a member of the National Alliance for Civil Action, said that Egypt has sent more than 80% of the total humanitarian aid that has entered the Palestinian territories since October 7, estimated at about 130,000 tons.

During his statements on the “Editing Hall” program with the journalist Azza Mustafa, broadcast on the “Sada El Balad” screen on Tuesday evening, he appreciated the “respectable” popular position of the Egyptian people in their keenness to help the brothers in Gaza despite the economic conditions that the country is going through.

He added that the launch of the National Alliance for Civil Action; The largest relief convoy in cooperation with the Hayat Karima Foundation to support and support our brothers in the Gaza Strip, today, Tuesday, comes as a new confirmation of Egypt’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and supporting the Palestinian people in responding to the baseless lies of the American administration in the past period.

He explained that the convoy consists of 500 trucks loaded with more than 8,000 tons of food, medical and pharmaceutical supplies, saying: “The Egyptian people are a giving people and only know honorable politics, and we are all proud that we are Egyptians and our trust in our army and our president is unlimited.”

He added that all institutions of the international community stand behind the political leadership to support Gaza, stressing that Egypt has never been late in providing support to the Palestinian people.
