The Canary Islands say goodbye to the haze and welcome the wind

The wind will blow moderately from the east on the coasts, while it will be strong from the southeast in the midlands and summits with probable very strong gusts in El Hierro and La Gomera – where they are under a yellow warning -, and without ruling them out in Tenerife and La Palma.

Regarding the state of the sea, the wind will blow from the east or southeast with force 2 to 4, occasionally 5, on the Canary Islands coasts, where there will be rough seas that will increase to rough seas. Northwest swell up to two meters high.

Island weather

Lanzarote

Intervals of medium and high clouds. Presence of haze that will subside. Temperatures with few changes, except for slight increases in the minimum temperatures. The 30 ºC on western coasts. Moderate wind from the east, with strong intervals on the west slope during the first half of the day. It will tend to decrease from midday and turn northeast at the end.

Reef: 20º-26º

Fuerteventura

Intervals of medium and high clouds. Presence of haze that will subside. Minimum temperatures in slight rise and maximum temperatures without changes or in slight descent. Wind moderate eastern, with intervals of strong on the west coast during the first half of the day. At the end of the day it will decrease in intensity and turn northeast.

Puerto del Rosario: 18º-25º

Gran Canaria

Intervals of medium and high clouds. Presence of haze that will subside. Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate rise. Maximums with few changes or with a slight decrease in inland areas. 30 ºC may be reached locally on coasts and low areas of the northern and western slopes. Moderate wind from the east on the coasts, and from the southeast in the midlands and high areas. At the end of the day it will decrease in intensity and turn northeast.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: 23º-27º

Tenerife

Intervals of medium and high clouds, with a low probability of some weak, occasional and scattered precipitation, more likely in high areas. Presence of haze that will subside.

Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate rise. Maximums with few changes except slight rises on northern coasts where they can be locally moderate. 30 ºC may be reached on coasts and low areas, especially in the north, west and south. Moderate wind from the east or southeast, with strong intervals on the western slope and north of the metropolitan area where some very strong occasional gusts are not ruled out. In central summits, moderate southwest wind.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife: 22º-28º

La Gomera

Intervals of medium and high clouds, with a low probability of some weak, occasional and scattered precipitation. Presence of haze that will subside.

Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate rise. Maximums with few changes except slight rises on the north and west coasts, where 30 ºC can be reached. Moderate wind with strong intervals from the southeast. Probable very strong gusts on summits and western and northern slopes will tend to subside in the later hours.

San Sebastián de La Gomera: 23º-28º

The Palm

Intervals of medium and high clouds, with a low probability of some weak, occasional and scattered precipitation, more likely in high areas. Presence of haze that will subside.

Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate rise. Maximums with few changes except slight to moderate rises on the north and west coasts, where 30 ºC may be reached. Moderate wind from the southeast, with strong intervals on the west and northeast slopes. Locally very strong gusts in high areas are not ruled out.

Santa Cruz de La Palma: 21º-27º

The iron

Intervals of medium and high clouds, with a low probability of some weak, occasional and scattered precipitation. Presence of haze that will subside.

Minimum temperatures in slight to moderate rise. Maximums with few changes except slight rises on the north and west coasts, where 30 ºC can be reached. Moderate southeast wind with strong intervals. Very strong gusts on summits and in the El Golfo area, where locally they may exceed 90 km/h.
