The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front: the colonel told about the situation

Fierce fighting continues on the southern front.

The Russian occupiers concentrated the largest group there. A military analyst, a colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported this on the air of the telethon Peter Chernyk.

According to his information, battles in the south take place every day, there is not a single quiet day, night or even hour.

“But the enemy concentrated most of his grouping there, because he is perfectly aware of what will happen if we do finish the “Surovykin line”. We are now somewhere in the middle. Its total width is within 25 km. We are somewhere 12-13 km, in the second line. The second line is the main one,” he noted.

He emphasized that there is a huge network of earthworks, trenches, fire pits, and even underground tunnels.

“This is a proven fact – the Russians know how to dig in. This is only a war of small groups. I will not venture to predict how long it will last, but sooner or later the cup will tilt in someone’s favor,” Petr Chernyk emphasized.

He also added that the Russians had built a classic WWII-style echeloned defense there, which has three lines.

“The first is the supply line, minefields, “dragon’s teeth” and everything that explodes. We passed it in this separate bridgehead. The second line is the most serious – trenches, DOTs, etc. Here is the main staff, equipped positions for artillery, all armored vehicles. This is a gigantic web. The next line is the rear positions. Now the second line is fighting very hard,” the military analyst emphasized.
