Military expert Serhiy Grabskyi spoke about the new successes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Dnieper and the likely targets in this direction of the front.

“Ukrainian troops are trying to expand the area of ​​deployment and active operations on the left bank of the Dnieper in order to create as much difficulty as possible for the enemy in the future. The enemy, following such a very traditional scheme, is trying to hold all the territories that are now under his control and thus he is forced to smear the army, that is, distributing this density of the power of means that he has available, on a wider front,” he said on the air.

According to him, Ukrainian troops do not concentrate on any one point, but create constant pressure on sections of the front in order to disorient or reduce the density of Russian troops in the Zaporozhye direction.

“We can suggest that in the case of the successful development of offensive actions on the left bank of the Dnieper and the creation of a zone that the Russian troops will not be able to liquidate, conditions may be created in the future in which the Ukrainian army can develop local offensive actions precisely from this direction. The goal may be as much as possible will approach Crimea, from which the support of Russian troops operating in Northern Tavria is carried out. Therefore, the approach of Ukrainian firepower to Crimea will seriously affect the possibility of supporting the enemy group that operates in the North-Tavrian direction, and therefore it is a rather serious threat,” said Grabsky.

He noted that Russia is nervously reacting to requests to advance the Ukrainian army in this direction.

“There is talk of some large-scale offensive operations that are unlikely to occur in this period of time. But having the opportunity to expand these bridgeheads, we cannot rule out the possibility that when saturated with engineering equipment, the Ukrainian army will not be able to conduct offensive operations in this direction. The goal is to cut land corridor between the occupied Crimea and the territory of the Russian Federation, and it can be implemented both in the Kherson, Zaporozhye, and Ugledar directions,” the expert added.
