JAKARTA, – The documentary film entitled “Dirty Vote” which was launched via the YouTube channel, Sunday (11/2), is part of the political dynamics that exist in Indonesia.

“I think that’s the dynamic of our politics. “Of course the government, if the target is the government, of course the government will pay attention to these voices, I think,” said Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin when met at the Vice President’s Palace in Jakarta, quoted by Antara news agency, Monday (12/2).

The Vice President believes that any voices or desires regarding the 2024 Election, including through documentary films, must be responded to well.

He emphasized that the most important thing is that the elections can run well, and that concerns such as divisions in society do not occur.

He asked that the election should not give rise to hostility, instead it should increase goodness and improve the situation. “Don’t let the election actually cause problems that lead to our decline because of hostility,” he said.

Apart from that, the Vice President also asked all related parties and institutions, including the KPU and Bawaslu to ensure that the elections run well, honestly and fairly.

“At the polling stations there are officers, there are also witnesses and everyone is watching, hopefully there will be no dishonesty. “I think that’s what we all hope, so that the election runs smoothly,” said the Vice President.

The documentary film Dirty Vote was directed by Dandhy Dwi Laksono. In his written broadcast, Dandhy said that the film was a form of education for the people who on February 14 2024 would exercise their right to vote in the 2024 elections.

After being broadcast on YouTube on Sunday (11/2), the film has now been viewed by 3.2 million accounts and liked by 214 thousand YouTube users. (Kmb/Balipost)
