The House of Representatives’ Plan and Budget Committee, headed by Representative Fakhri al-Feki, began its meeting to discuss the final accounts of the Ministry of Health for the fiscal year 2022/2023, in the presence of the Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

He continued: “We have not left a governorate that we do not work in.” He confirmed that he visited all the governorates and is following up on all the work. He pointed out that there are ongoing projects in all the governorates, such as the Nasser Institute, which he described as an integrated medical city. He revealed that about 5 billion pounds of its costs had been paid, and said that It will turn into a medical city.

The minister explained that new central laboratories have been established in Badr City, as an alternative to the old centers in the center of the country that have become greatly dilapidated, as well as the Dar Al Salam “Hermel” Hospital for treating oncology in Giza, next to the Umm Al-Masryeen Hospital, for which a billion pounds has been allocated for its development and the construction of a hospital. New, half a kilometer away.

He reviewed dozens of projects in the governorates that are being implemented, such as Matrouh General Hospital, Sidi Barani, El Dabaa, Ras El Hekma, and El Alamein, all of which are being developed.

For his part, Representative Hazem Omar, Undersecretary of the Planning and Budget Committee, commented, saying: “Assiut Governorate fell from the accounts of the Ministry of Health.”
