They cut the old road from Carrizal to the cemetery due to the high-tension cable works

The Ingenio City Council has informed neighbors and users of the closed to traffic from this Tuesday of old road between Ingenio and Carrizal, specifically, the section of road that goes up from the Carrizal cemetery to the entrance of El Santísimo.

These works have to do with the installation of the high tension cable that will be deployed Spanish Electrical Network (Redeia) between the Arinaga substation, in Agüimes, and the El Santísimo substation, in Ingenio, and which was scheduled to cross Carrizal. The strong neighborhood rejection of the route through the town led the Government of the Canary Islands to agree with Redeia on the paralysis of work in its most controversial section, but rest of the works have continued.

In principle, according to the City Council, these underground works have a planned duration of one month. The alternative route To get to the cemetery it will be through the street Fray Tomás Morales.
