While it is decided what to do with the permission of individuals to operate the Venustiano Carranza Forest bathrooms, which were closed two weeks ago, the Public Services Directorate will carry out the complete rehabilitation and the five pesos per user will no longer be charged.

The head of the agency, Fernando Villarreal Cuéllar, stated that it is urgent to take measures to solve the problem, since it is a public space where about 5,000 visitors come daily.

He pointed out that from this weekend the rehabilitation work will begin, both on the toilets, sinks, electrical installations, walls and doors of the four modules that are located inside the forest.

The Civil Protection and Inspection and Verification Directorates closed them 15 days ago due to unsanitary conditions, exposed electricity cables and other anomalies, in addition to complaints of mistreatment of users.

For their part, the family that manages these toilets assured that they already have a suspension from a District judge so that they can return the management of them, but the representative of the municipal authority indicated that he had not been notified and, furthermore, that This resolution would not prevent repairs, as it is a space for public use.
