In Russia, a deal is being planned to merge two producers of alcoholic beverages. Both enterprises are among the largest in Russia producing vodka. Although this is a big event for the industry, ordinary consumers most likely will not even notice it, experts told aif.ru.

I am sure that the deal to sell the Tula Distillery to Ladoga will not affect ordinary people in any way. Head of the Center for Research of Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets (CIFRRA) Vadim Drobiz. According to him, the change of owner will not even be reflected on the label of a bottle of vodka.

“One of the best factories in Russia for the production of alcoholic beverages is buying another factory, also a good one. For the consumer, nothing will change at all; the Tula plant will continue to work as it works. Maybe the new owner will want to change something in the assortment, but the old one could do the same. In general, all this may be of interest to the business community, but the average person simply won’t notice anything,” Drobiz told aif.ru.

Although, if the transaction is successfully completed, there will be a concentration of production capacity in the hands of owner of Ladoga company Veniamin Grabar, this will not affect the price of vodka either. This is the opinion President of the Union of Alcohol Producers Igor Kosarev. “The deal will not lead to an increase in vodka prices,” he told aif.ru.

Previously, aif.ru talked about the failure of attempts to sell vodka with the image in Europe President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
