He pointed out that the Egyptian state took proactive measures in recent years that would have overcome the crises that the world went through, most notably the Corona virus and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
He pointed to the good reputation enjoyed by the Egyptian state regarding the field of agriculture, pointing out that Egypt is close to exporting 7 million tons of various agricultural commodities to 160 countries in the world.
He stressed that President Sisi is following up on all the steps taking place in the agriculture and irrigation file and all sectors, adding that the agriculture file is a top priority for the political leadership, in order to provide the needs of the Egyptian citizen.
He stated that the varieties grown in Egypt are compatible with the climate and resist its changes. He expected wheat productivity to rise to 3.8 acres, in light of incentives from the state and the provision of seeds and fertilizers. He explained that work is underway to inventory wheat cultivation areas using a satellite.
He stated that Egypt is the first country in exporting citrus fruits to the world, based on Egypt’s great interest in the food security issue and considering it national security for the state.
