Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra will start in Haryana from November 22: Sanjeev Kaushal, Chandigarh News in Hindi

Chandigarh. Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal said that Haryana Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be started from November 22 with the aim of making the public aware about various welfare schemes implemented by the Central and State Government. The aim of the yatra is to ensure widespread information and benefits of major government schemes including PM Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana and Swachh Bharat Mission.
The Chief Secretary was presiding over the review meeting regarding the preparations and arrangements of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra here today. Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, DMC and other senior officials of the state joined the meeting online. The Chief Secretary said that the Yatra will start in rural areas on November 22 and will cover all the villages across Haryana in the next 60 days. 72 LED vans will be deployed to reach every corner of the state and provide information and connect with the public.
A nodal officer has been appointed in each district who will be the coordinator for the Yatra activities. The vans will be equipped with promotional material, films and digital displays etc. to effectively communicate the achievements and policies of the government. The Chief Secretary said that many representatives including Self Help Group stalls, CSC stalls and District Social Welfare and District Welfare Officers will be present along with the yatra, giving on the spot information about schemes related to pension, Aadhaar, family identity card, agriculture and horticulture. Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Dr. Amit Aggarwal said that the Central Government has launched a portal for Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, in which users of all the districts will login. Photos and videos of every program and activities will be uploaded on the portal. Additional District Deputy Commissioners will play an important role as nodal officers responsible for monitoring and facilitating the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in their respective districts.
Dr. Aggarwal said that schedules will be prepared at village and ward level. In which the route and other details of the journey will be focused in detail. He said that the yatra will cover 2 wards in the urban area and also 2 villages in the rural areas. Further the Additional District Deputy Commissioner will monitor the planning and implementation of the Yatra in these areas to ensure comprehensive coverage. A common meeting place will be identified in every village and ward.
He said, the selection should be done keeping in mind the population of the village or ward so as to ensure suitable space for effective people engagement with the local community. Apart from this, better SOP should be prepared for smooth operation of the programs.
