Violating Neutrality, Police Members Threatened with Three Sanctions

DENPASAR, BALIPOST.com – Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra carried out a working visit to check security readiness for the 2024 Election at the Denpasar Police, Tuesday (21/11). In the work visit, the Putra Regional Police Chief reminded us to maintain neutrality and if we violate it, three sanctions will be applied, namely criminal, disciplinary and code of ethics.

Apart from that, it is hoped that there will be no conflict. The work visit was packaged in the form of a focus group discussion (FGD) and began with a presentation by the Denpasar Police Chief, Commissioner Pol. Dr. Bambang Yugo Pamungkas explained the regional security situation related to Asta Gatra, the geographic and demographic location of Denpasar City and the vulnerability of each stage of the election.

Apart from that, security preparations for the 2024 Election were also explained including TPS and DPT data, a list of permanent candidates for the Denpasar City DPRD, election logistics data that had arrived at the KPU warehouse and data on personnel involved as well as budget readiness.

In his direction, the Regional Police Chief conveyed the National Police’s vision mission for the future to make the 2024 Election a success. Regarding Chief of Police Bambang’s presentation regarding the potential for conflict and insecurity in the Denpasar area, Inspector General Putra hopes that conflict and insecurity will not happen again.

“How to find solutions or problem solving, for example from the National Police there is Bhabinkamtibmas, TNI there is Babinsa, local government there is Sipandu Beradat which can pre-emptively and preventively become a problem solving or cooling system. “That is one way we can maintain conducive security stability,” he said.

This sanction is applied if there are violations committed by members of the National Police during the 2023-2024 election period. The aim is to ensure that there are no violations and how the Police maintain neutrality during elections.
