Father and son arrested for shooting in Palermo. Investigators are following the betting trail

AGI – Investigators from the Palermo Flying Squad arrested two people, father and son, after last night’s shooting in the Sperone neighborhood in which thirty-seven-year-old Giancarlo Romano died while another man, Alessio Salvatore Caruso, arrived in serious condition at the hospital. Buccheri La Ferla hospital and following his injuries he underwent abdominal surgery. The turning point in the investigation – coordinated by the Palermo prosecutor’s office – came after a night of investigations during which investigators tried to reconstruct the facts. THE two arrested people live a few steps from the scene of the murder, in via XXVII Maggio, not far from Corso dei Mille. During the searches one of the two was found in the house with a gunshot wound to the leg. There would have been an argument probably related to division of the proceeds of clandestine bets which would then degenerate into a showdown with gunshots. They were found in via XXVII Maggio during scientific investigations cases of two different calibers, this would suggest that two firearms were used. There were two shooters. It is therefore unclear who fired the shots and whether there were other people involved.
