Internet Desk. Voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan will be held on Friday, April 19. On Friday, voting will be held for 12 Lok Sabha seats of the state, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur. Election campaign activities in these 12 Lok Sabha constituencies will be banned from 6 pm today, Wednesday.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta informed in this regard that the election campaign activities will stop from 6 pm today for the last 48 hours of voting in the first phase of Lok Sabha General Election-2024 in Rajasthan. Political parties will not be able to campaign till 6 pm on April 19, the closing period of voting.

Opinion polls will also be banned

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta informed that there will be a ban on telecast of opinion poll or other poll survey in the state during this period. He informed that there will be a complete ban on publishing the exit poll results in newspapers or broadcasting them through electronic media or disseminating them in any other way. There will be a ban on exit polls till 6.30 pm on June 1, the polling day of the 7th phase.

Interstate borders will be sealed

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that inter-state borders will also remain sealed during this two-day period. Also, there will be dry day with ban on sale of liquor in these areas. It is noteworthy that the second phase of voting in Rajasthan will be held on April 26. The campaign for the second phase will be stopped on April 24. The results of Lok Sabha elections will come on June 4.
