Milan, everything easy in Prague: 3-1 and qualification in the carriage

After the 4-2 at San Siro, Milan won 3-1 in Prague and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Leao direct the match already in the first halfwith Slavia remaining almost immediately in ten just like in the first leg. At the start, Maignan hurt his knee after a tackle with an opponent.

Milan, three goals in Prague and qualification

The goalkeeper seems to be doing well when in the 14th minute he saves his team in splits following a close-range shot by Chytil, who did well to free himself from Tomori’s marking.

A few minutes after, Holes comes in with the hammer foot on Calabria’s ankle. The referee whistles for the foul and does not warn him, but is called back to the VAR and, after a long review, decides to expel the captain of the red and whites who are thus left with one man less. At this point, Maignan asks for a substitution and Sportiello enters in its place.

The guests’ first big chance came in the 28th minute, when Giroud launched Pulisic who attempted a shot under the goalkeeper but Stanek stopped him. The goalkeeper repeats himself two minutes later on Leao, well served by Musah, who fails to score a one-on-one goal with the opposing goalkeeper.

AC Milan take the lead in the 33rd minute

The Rossoneri’s lead came in the 33rd minute. Leao receives the ball from the left, fakes the shot and serves Pulisic who comes back on the left and beats Stanek with a precise low shot.

Three minutes then comes the 2-0. Leao initiates an action all from the front which marks out Hernandez on the left, with the full-back crossing low from the left and finding a very free Loftus-Cheek in the center who deposits it at the bottom of the bag with the goal unguarded.

In full recovery, it was Leao who scored the hat trick with an excellent right-footed shot from the edge of the area which went under the far corner, leaving Stanek immobile. He goes to half-time at 3-0.

The pace of recovery is rather slow. At 20′, the match is interrupted for a couple of minutes due to objects being thrown from the steps of the local fans at the height of the corner flag, with Leao first and Hernandez then ready to serve.

There is space in the finale for the goal of the flag of the new substitute Jurasek, who hits Sportiello with a nice left-footed shot from the edge at the invitation of Zafeiris and effectively ends the match at 3-1.

Milan can thus celebrate the passage of the round, awaiting tomorrow’s draw.
