‘Salute! Blue Dragon 2024’ exhibition successfully completed with the participation of 6 notable Asian artists

Pernod Ricard Korea and Serom Art Project announced on the 5th that the private exhibition ‘Salute! Blue Dragon 2024’ held with six promising Asian artists, including Wang Chung, Shin Da-in, and Hwang Ji-young, was successfully completed.

At this exhibition held at the Nonhyeon Building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul for a month in March, Chinese painter Wang Chong’s <청룡도>attracted great attention from visitors. A graduate of Lu Xun University of Arts with a bachelor’s and master’s degree, he convincingly portrayed the fantasy scene of a huge dragon flying from a small glass glass as if it were a real situation taking place right in front of his eyes. The blue dragon, which carries the majesty of the Chinese emperor, is depicted from the side, and its massive, sinuous movements leave an overwhelming impression, enough to make viewers take their breath away.

New work by author Shin Da-in <풍요의 뿔>is Cornucopia in Latin. In ancient Greco-Roman culture, this horn symbolizes infinite abundance. It was believed that the person who possessed this mysterious horn could obtain as much wealth and food as he or she desired. Just as Eastern dragons satisfy human desires and wishes, in the West this cornucopia is believed to fulfill human dreams and desires, making it popular with visitors during the exhibition.

Author Hwang Ji-young’s representative work that will bring you full happiness and good luck. <장생도>In , the artist chooses cranes and turtles as the main motifs among all living creatures. The mysterious nectarines and pine trees are chosen as materials, and they are depicted against a background of rocky rocks, valley water, and cloud-like fog, wishing the viewer full happiness and good luck.

Artist Heeyoung Lee, who majored in painting and design, boasts a unique sensibility and considers ‘color’ to be the most important in her work. <황홀한 한해의 기원>The series is full of intuitive emotions made up of only strong colors without any special episodes or plots. It is a feast of colors that captivate the eyes rather than the head and make the heart pulsate. A total of six artists participated, including artist Kim Yu-jeong, who explores the properties of Hanji and creates original objects, and Seo Young-hee, a critic with 30 years of experience, including working at the Picasso Museum, served as general director.

Guitarist Lee Sang-myeon (Crying Nut) participated as a special guest and drew attention by showing works such as ‘Blue Dragon and Friends’ and ‘Coronation of the Blue Dragon’. This artist is studying painting at Hongik University Art Education Center. Critic Choi Seok-tae praised the artist for his rhythmic imagination in his works, saying he has a promising future.

This exhibition was held with the full attention and affection of Executive Director Kim Kyeong-yeon, who is in charge of Pernod Ricard’s luxury business, who has taken the lead in artistically telling the brand story. Visitors were selected in small groups for each session and had the opportunity to experience the artists’ works under the guidance of a docent. The organizer stated that the feature is that it allows this. Some pieces were returned to collectors who were fascinated by the brand story and the lucky energy of the blue dragon.
