The SRR ATO 4 Caltanissetta Provincia Sud and Impianti srl at the XVI edition of Ecomed

Ecomed is an event of regional and national importance which represents an opportunity to create synergies between companies and institutions in the area. “The SRR ATO 4 Caltanissetta Provincia Sud and Impianti srl have taken this important opportunity to delve deeper into the concepts of the Green economy and the circular economy and open up to a comparison – declared the president of the SRR ATO 4 Caltanissetta South Province, Dr. Vincenzo Marino – both at a specialist level and with smaller entities, which were invited to take part in the activities proposed in the Green Village”, concludes Marino.

“Also this year, Impianti srl wanted to involve the fourth and fifth grade classes of the member municipalities of the SRR ATO 4 Caltanissetta South Province in training and awareness activities aimed at improving the quality of separate waste collection and environmental education. This is our modus operandi to contribute in part to the green revolution to safeguard the planet“, declared the Sole Director of Impianti srl, Eng. Giovanna Picone.

Also at its point of arrival is the first edition of the Ideas Competition designed for the first and second level secondary schools of the Member Municipalities of the SRR ATO 4 Caltanissetta South Province with the award ceremony of the winners who will win the prizes offered by the Impianti srl, the in-house company that manages the Integrated Platform of Contrada Timpazzo and the door-to-door service in the municipalities of Butera, Delia, Mazzarino, Niscemi, Gela, Sommatino and Riesi.

A testimony to the attention that this Company places on strengthening separate waste collection and raising awareness among citizens starting from the younger generations. 89 children entered the competition who carefully produced amateur videos supported by their teachers on the themes of Agenda 2030.

“The three winners will be announced at Ecomed 2024, the fair to be held in Catania from 17 to 19 April. Their contributions will be transformed into real commercials that will be broadcast on Teleone (sponsor of the initiative) for about a month” states Dr. Cinzia Pepe, creator of the competition together with Dr. Leyla Tanci.
