Zaldívar must have many explanations: Xóchitl

Guadalajara Mexico.- After Morena and former Minister Arturo Zaldívar announced that they will request a political trial against Norma Piña, president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), the presidential candidate of Fuerza y Corazón por México, Xóchitl Gálvez, accused authoritarianism and maintained that the former president of the Court owes many explanations to the citizens.
“This only happens in authoritarian countries. It seems to me that former Minister Zaldívar has to explain many things to Mexicans,” Gálvez warned in an interview before holding a meeting with women at the Jalisco Regional Livestock Union.
“I recommended a book called ‘Betrayal in the Palace’, by Hernán Gómez, which he wrote about a year ago, where the cochupos, the influence peddling, are already documented. I am going to recount the things that I found consist of the minister: he wanted to ‘aganda’ the presidency of the Court for two more years, and that affected me as a senator; he was the author of the persecution of 287 anonymous complaints of people persecuted by him” .
Xóchitl recalled that the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is the main witness of Zaldívar’s actions, after he assured on February 21 that he spoke with the minister and they agreed on cases that interested the president.
Gálvez even suggested that Arturo Zaldívar resign from his position in Claudia Sheinbaum’s campaign so as not to harm her.
“I think that rather Minister Zaldívar has to explain to Mexicans why what is happening is happening and Claudia Sheinbaum, rather than pandering to it, should demand that it be investigated,” added the presidential standard bearer.
“There are already magistrates with names and surnames who are denouncing the minister for things that they know were pressured. I think that the former minister should have separated from his position so as not to affect his candidate, because it does affect him.”
Arturo Zaldívar today announced legal actions against Piña for his improper intervention in the electoral process, the factious use of the Court and the Judicial Branch of the Federation.
