Criminal investigators from the police in Szczytno (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) solved a case of forgery and burglary in one of the nearby towns.
It turned out that over the last 11 years, the woman forged the signature of a 65-year-old resident of the Pasym commune on VAT invoices as many as 26 times. Moreover, the counterfeiter used the man’s ATM card 7 times to pay for his purchases. The victim finally realized that he was being cheated and notified the police. And the uniformed officers, after a short investigation, determined who the thief was.
The perpetrator of the crime of burglary is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, while forging documents is punishable by up to 5 years in prison. The woman will soon appear in court, where she will have to face the consequences of her actions.
