Political thinker and member of the Senate, Abdel Moneim Saeed, said that Iran benefited from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, because it outbid the Arab countries by not supporting the liberation operations.
This came during his speech at a symposium organized by the Cultural Committee of Al Jazira Club, moderated by Counselor Adel Abdel Baqi, Chairman of the Committee, under the title “The situation in Gaza and its effects on our internal situation,” in the presence of a number of club members, both male and female.
Saeed spoke about the fact that Palestinian officials recently went to Gaza to distribute humanitarian relief aid, and Hamas arrested them and accused them of being “agents of Israel.”
He considered that “Hamas is an illegitimate leadership in Gaza that came as a result of a coup in 2007, and that the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people is the Palestine Liberation Organization.”
He pointed out that “there are existing questions about when the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip will end,” explaining that the official project to end the war has been announced, the first of which is a ceasefire.
The political thinker stressed that Israel does not want a permanent ceasefire, and wants to liberate the hostages who were captured on the seventh of last October, and the problem with the hostage issue is that there are only 20 hostages held by Hamas, and others are held by armed factions in Gaza, numbering 11 armed organizations. And she has to negotiate with them.
