Anarchist wave in Italy and abroad for the release of Cospito from 41 bis

In Cagliari an anarchist was reported for damage because last night she smeared the walls of the regional council with writings in favor of Cospito and against the 41 bis. And during the inauguration of the judicial year, the Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio, hoping that “Alfredo Cospito’s situation will be resolved”, said he was “concerned both in terms of the protection of human life and in terms of public order”.

The prosecutor referred to the protest demonstrations in favor of Cospito, which aroused “many concerns for public order and safety, also having regard to the network of antagonistic anarchist movements, even of an international nature, which animated these demonstrations ”.

An episode also occurred in Umbria on the day that seems to mark a turning point in the protest. An anarchist group claimed the damage to the villa of entrepreneur Giorgio Del Papa, owner of Umbria Olii in Campello sul Clitunno, a company in which, in 2006, 4 workers died following an explosion.

The demonstrative action, according to what is written, is in support of Anna Beniamino and Alfredo Cospito, who “risk life imprisonment for massacre, for two bombs against the carabinieri student barracks in Fossano, on 2 June 2006”. The Carabinieri of Spoleto are investigating. Finally, a fire was also started last night on the Turin hill at some cables of the ‘Torre Bert’ pylon used as a repeater bridge by various companies.

Investigations into the incident by the carabinieri are underway but from an initial verification the gesture would be attributable to exponents of the anarchist area as the inscription ‘Fuori Alfredo Cospito dal 41bis’ was found on the spot. The inmate’s lawyer, Flavio Rossi Albertini, was contacted by AGI and said: “What does Cospito have to do with it? He is at 41 bis”. The lawyer Davide Steccanella, who assists Cesare Battisti, also spoke on the matter: “It is inadmissible for a civil state that in 2023 there is 41 bis, a medieval torture that the Cospito case has dramatically brought to light”.
