Mexico City.- Carlos Urzúa, the first Secretary of Finance and Public Credit during the López Obrador Government, was found dead at his home, located in La Magdalena Contreras.
The mobilization of emergency services and elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Santiago Street, Colonia Lomas Quebradas.
The first reports indicate a heart attack as the probable cause of the death of the academic, politician and economist, although the possibility of a fall was also handled.
First reports indicate that personnel from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City were informed about a man who lost his life inside his home, on Santiago Street, Colonia San Jerónimo Lídice, La Magdalena Contreras.
Upon arrival, a woman told them that she heard a loud bang and, upon checking, she saw the man lying on the stairs with a blood stain on his head.

Urzúa was Secretary of Finance and Public Credit in the Government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, from 2018 to 2019.
He was also the Secretary of Finance of the Federal District, also during the Tabasco administration, during the period from 2000 to 2003.
