In Golyanovo, a major renovation of one of the main regional physical training centers, the Skif sports complex, has been completed. The building, which was built in 2008, needed to be given new life. Last week the renovated center opened Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

For both amateurs and professionals

“Skif” is a popular place in the area. Not only amateurs, but also professionals come here to play sports for their own pleasure. 165 people can train at the same time in the sports complex.

“The building has two sports halls: a universal one with stands for 130 seats and a gym. Everyone will be able to attend sections on sambo, judo, karate, wrestling, general physical training (general physical training. — Red.) with elements of martial arts,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

During the major renovation, the three-story building with an area of about 1.6 thousand square meters was repaired with engineering systems, the roof was put in order, and the façade cladding and glazing were replaced. The interior also received a new finish. Furniture, equipment and supplies were also purchased here.

Athletes and amateurs have at their disposal updated locker rooms with showers, a medical office and a wardrobe. The waiting area has also become modern – after renovation, vending machines were installed here.

By the way, “Skif” was reconstructed according to the city program for the renovation of standard sports facilities.

Comfort inside, beauty outside

Residents eagerly awaited the completion of the overhaul. Of course, it is much more comfortable for them to study in a renovated building.

“I go to physical training with other participants of the Moscow Longevity. I’m very pleased: good coaches, positive. And it’s even more pleasant to study in the new building,” a Muscovite shared her impressions Tatiana Nikonenko.

Also, about 200 athletes from the Moscow Complex Sports School of the Olympic Reserve “Vostok” train at Skif. Among the areas are sambo, judo, karate and wrestling.

The area adjacent to the sports complex will soon be put in order. A lawn will be laid out here and trees and shrubs will be planted. When all this splendor “takes leaf”, you won’t be able to take your eyes off it.
