Before the start of the match between Santos and Corinthians, during the playing of the national anthem, in Vila Belmiro, the Timão players put their hands over their mouths and ears, denouncing that their complaints about the current opposing coach are not being heard. The gesture was repeated after Corinthians’ first goal. The Santos athletes did not speak out.

Also this Friday, the gesture of placing hands over the mouth and ear was repeated in the match between Avaí/Kindermann and Palmeiras, before the start of the game. At Ressacada, in Florianópolis, the two teams’ number 19 shirts turned their backs while the other athletes remained making the gesture in reference to silence. The reference is to the number of players who accused Kleiton Lima of harassment last year.

The accusations against Klein Lima were made last year through anonymous letters with personal accounts and signatures, delivered to Andrés Rueda, then president of Santos. At the time, the coach was fired, but was introduced again last Tuesday (9), in the presence of Thaís Picarte, the club’s women’s football manager, and Alexandre Gallo, football coordinator.

According to the UOL portal, Gallo also said that he investigated the episode with the Santos Civil Police and that Peixe feels “happy” to have him back. Furthermore, he highlighted that the hiring was evaluated by the compliance Santos.

Kleiton Lima, in turn, says that he did not commit “any type of harassment”. “Those anonymous letters with insane, frivolous descriptions do not belong to me.
