On Tuesday, Muni Samay Sagar Maharaj accepted the post of Acharya as the successor of Samadhistha Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj as per the rituals in Kundalpur pilgrimage area located in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat reached Sagar Maharaj on time. After this the further process started. Lakhs of people became witnesses of this moment. State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was also present during this period.

The program of elevation to the post of Acharya in Kundalpur started at 1 pm on Tuesday. Muni Sangha took him with them. His feet were washed with a gold and silver urn. The program was conducted by Niyama Sagar Maharaj, Pranam Sagar Maharaj and other monks. Samay Sagar Maharaj was made to sit on the highest seat. After completion of the square, Acharyashree’s seat was kept. After this, Muni Sangh requested Samay Sagar Maharaj to accept the post, which he accepted. When the process of accepting the post of Acharya started, Niyama Sagar Maharaj asked everyone to worship Acharya Samay Sagar Maharaj. Kalash was established first in the auspicious ceremony. After this the process of assuming the post of Acharya started. Five golden urns were installed one after the other.

After Samay Sagar Maharaj sat on the throne and accepted the post of Acharya, Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Cabinet Minister Prahlad Patel, Damoh MLA Jayant Malaiya and others presented quince to Acharyashree. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also reached Kundalpur about an hour after the scheduled time. He visited Acharya Samay Sagar Maharaj and took his blessings. Lakhs of people from all over the country had reached Kundalpur to see this spectacle.

Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, who came to attend the program, first reached Kundalpur and had darshan of Bade Baba. After this he took the blessings of Acharya Samay Sagar Maharaj and other sages. Reached the stage and released the magazine of the programme. After this, Sarsanghchalak told about his first meeting with Acharyashree. He said that I was introduced to Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj for the first time at Narmada Ghat in Jabalpur. Went to meet him for the first time. I did not have much knowledge of spirituality. Because of this, before going in front of Acharyashree, I was wondering what would happen? This fear was there in my mind, but the love I received there removed both the fear and the hesitation.
